As my first session blog, I am honored to be able to write about this boy filled, fun loving family. I remember the day I met the mother Amanda, I was timid about letting a complete stranger watch my daughter and boy was it the best decision of my family's lives. She is more than just a teacher. Amanda is a mentor and her family has become my daughter's second home. Having the ability to to watch the relationship that their whole family has created with a child who they've come to know and love is an absolutely amazing feeling that completely warms my heart. It's every mother's dream to be able to trust their child's caretaker as I do with Amanda. I hear my daughter call these 6 crazy boys "my boys". I know that every day she sits patiently by the window through every season waiting for them to get off the bus. I watch as she makes sure to always give each one a hug goodbye and I see the love in her eyes for each and everyone of them.
This session was bigger than just a family session for the holidays, it was a blessing. It was a blessing to capture their love, their humor, and their adorable little faces because before you know it, they will be all grown up. The best part about being a photographer is knowing that you are capturing precious moments that a family will be able to look back on and cherish years from now. It's about creating a fun session that will leave a lasting impression and produce amazing candid shots and boy did they give me plenty.
Through the lake breeze and first snow fall of the year, this family embraced every minute. Although it was off the side of a busy back road and the boys weren't excited to take off their coats in 30 degree weather, they kept true to their wild loving hearts as they joked around with one another and even imitated their parent's shot giving us all quite a laugh. As a blended family that came together just a few years ago, you'd never be able to guess it. They are true brothers through and through with amazing parents that I am honored to know, and that my daughter is blessed to love.
I hope you enjoy your pictures Amanda!! Happy holidays and may the force be with you with these 6 amazing little boys.
